  • A Pass in Sanskrit Teachers Examination conducted by the Commissioner for Government Examinations, Kerala .
  • Postgraduates in Sanskrit are also eligible, provided they have a B.Ed/B.T/L.T qualification .

2. Teacher Eligibility Test (TET):

It is mandatory for all candidates to have passed the Kerala Teacher Eligibility Test (K-TET) for this post, which is conducted by the Government of Kerala .

Exemptions from K-TET: Candidates who have qualified for any of the following exams are exempted from acquiring a K-TET certificate :

  • Central Teacher Eligibility Test (CTET) .
  • National Eligibility Test (NET) .
  • State Eligibility Test (SET) .
  • M. Phil .
  • Ph. D in the respective subject .
  • M. Ed in any subject .

3. Age Limit:

The standard age limit for candidates is between 18 and 40 years . However, the usual age relaxations are applicable for candidates from Other Backward Communities, as well as Scheduled Caste (SC) and Scheduled Tribe (ST) candidates . The maximum age limit, even after all relaxations, shall not exceed 50 years . Candidates must claim any age concessions in their One Time Registration profile .
