Cochin Shipyard Limited (CSL), a Miniratna Schedule 'A' Company of the Government of India, has issued a vacancy notification (Ref No. CSL/P&A/RECTT/PERMANENT/EXECUTIVE TRAINEE/2024/6) dated September 18, 2025, to invite online applications from young professionals for the posts of Executive Trainees.

Vacancies and Educational Qualifications

Compensation and Benefits
During Training (1 year):
Selected candidates will receive a consolidated monthly stipend of ₹50,000.
After Training (E-1 Grade):
- Pay Scale: ₹40,000 - 3% - 140,000.
- Monthly Emoluments: Approximately ₹80,800 at Kochi, ₹84,400 at Kolkata, and ₹77,200 at Karnataka.
- Annual CTC: Approximately ₹14 lakhs at Kochi, ₹12 lakhs at Kolkata, and ₹11 lakhs at Karnataka.
Age Limit
- The upper age limit is 27 years as of October 15, 2025.
- Age relaxation of 5 years is available for SC/ST candidates for posts reserved for their respective categories.
Selection Process
The selection process is a two-phase method totaling 100 marks.

Phase I - Objective Type Test (60 Marks):
- This is a 60-minute test with 60 multiple-choice questions (MCQs).
- The test covers General Awareness, English Language, Numerical Ability, Reasoning Ability, and Subject-Based questions.
- There is no negative marking.

Phase II - Group Discussion, Writing Skills & Personal Interview (40 Marks):
- Candidates who qualify in Phase I will be called for this phase.
- The components are: Group Discussion (10 marks), Writing Skills (10 marks), and Personal Interview (20 marks).
The final rank list is based on the total marks secured in both phases.
Application Fee
A non-refundable application fee of ₹750 is applicable. SC/ST applicants are exempt. For the Company Secretary post, Persons with Benchmark Disabilities (PwBD) are also exempt.
